Spanish courses

The course is intended for those interested in the Spanish language and culture, or, for example, those planning a holiday trip to a Spanish-speaking country. It is suitable both for those encountering Spanish for the first time and those wanting a refresher. The course is framed around a fictional story of a Finnish couple from Laitila who are on holiday on Spain's Costa del Sol. The story begins at the hotel reception and ends at the airport, where the couple prepares for their trip home. The chapters cover, among other things, staying at a hotel, ordering at a café and restaurant, introducing oneself, talking about holiday plans, the weather and yourself, dealing with the post office, a travel agency and a car rental company, and shopping. Alongside the chapters there are slightly more challenging supplementary texts describing Spanish life.
