Moomin Language School, launched by Promentor Solutions Oy, builds a language learning service for kindergartens. International operations quickly started in Asia in November, as learning solutions are in high demand there and Finnish educational expertise is held in high regard. Being Finnish is seen as exotic.
Launched just a few months ago, Moomin Language School jumped straight from the Slush stage onto a plane, traveling to Beijing and Shanghai in its very first steps. The trip was made alongside a delegation from the City of Espoo, which provided the opportunity to attend official events as well. Jukka Mäkelä, Mayor of Espoo, introduced Anu Guttorm, CEO of Moomin Language School, to the Mayor of Shanghai along with four other company representatives. The best part of the trip was definitely the visits to kindergartens. Brought back to Finland as souvenirs were the first signed contracts with customers and university research partners.
Promentor Solutions Oy is a pioneer in digital language education with over 25 years of experience. The agreement with Moomin Characters was signed in September 2014.
