What Does Language Learning Require?
Autumn busyness is pressing again. However, it is worth remembering that language learning also requires hard work – small streams make a big river. Language skills are like a muscle that must be exercised regularly. According to research (see e.g. University of Jyväskylä, Technology-Supported Multiform Finnish as a Foreign Language Teaching Entity, 2004), raising language proficiency by one level requires on average at least 200 hours of study. Learning a language is long-term work and achieving desired results requires A. motivation, B. goal setting, and C. tracking results. Every Promentor Web language course contains abundant listening materials and practice tasks, which are key to learning. With the Language Studio, you can independently practice listening comprehension and pronunciation, gaining confidence and courage to speak.
