Technology Industries of Finland took a new direction in staff language training in spring 2013.
Management encourages staff to develop their skills in a globalizing world and offers all personnel the opportunity to participate in language training that versatilely utilizes the opportunities offered by the web. The training uses a method developed by Promentor, where online study is combined with group meetings with a trainer. This is not just any online study; Promentor Web, specialized in languages, offers high-quality content and highly interactive learning material that also allows practicing speaking and pronunciation. This method produces the best learning results, keeps motivation high, and makes learning efficient.
Training preparations began already during the summer with online level testing and needs assessment. The training focuses on developing impactful presentation and communication skills, as well as versatile mastery of written communication and telephone situations. At the same time, the development and use of digital learning in Finland are being broadly promoted. Initially, the focus is especially on improving English language skills, but online learning is also cost-effective for studying other languages.
