With the cooperation agreement, language training at the Ministry of Justice takes a new direction. The goal is to introduce new teaching methods and particularly leverage online learning, supported by classroom training. What is particularly new is that Ministry of Justice personnel actively participated in producing the learning materials.
Language training was approached from the perspective of the staff, and challenging situations were mapped out together with employees. Online materials were created from key situations, serving as the foundation for the training.
The training program aims to improve participants' language skills so that they handle customer service situations in English face-to-face, over the phone, and via email with greater fluency and confidence in their work. Special attention is paid during the course to job-specific vocabulary and phrases.
Once cooperation began, two online courses were implemented: customer service English for administrative courts and customer service English for legal aid. In addition to these, classroom instruction is linked to the training. The online materials can also be utilized by universities of applied sciences training legal BBA students.
The implementation method used at the Ministry of Justice is well-suited for organizing language training across other public administration sectors and corporate organizations. Training is tailored directly to the specific need, keeping learner motivation high.
